This is the Privacy Policy for the Kaplan IT Learning website. Your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to protecting it. When you or your employer ask for a demonstration of our product, fill out a survey, or request information on the Kaplan IT Learning website, we will use our registration screens and online forms to collect personally identifying information such as your name, address and e-mail address ("personal data"). If you send us an e-mail or communicate with us offline, we may also collect the personal data that you voluntarily provide us with at that time.

We may use your personal data in the following ways:
  • for the purpose for which you specifically provided the personal data, for example to fulfill your request to download our software or demo products, or to respond to a specific inquiry;
  • to register you as a user of one of our customer websites, either the Client website, Agent website, or Partner website ("Registered User Websites") and to provide you with a password for your use of the Registered User websites.
  • to send you updates and new releases for our software, or to provide future service and support for your use of our software;
  • to confirm that you did not experience problems in downloading or using our products, and to alert you of our demo products at the end of the license period;
  • if you are a registered user of our software, to tell you about the availability of updates, improvements, or fixes; or
  • to provide you with timely and pertinent notices of product releases and service developments that address your needs and requirements.
Anonymous Information. You can visit most pages on the Kaplan IT Learning website without giving us any personal data. Your visit may automatically provide us with anonymous data that is not linked to your personal data, such as your IP (Internet Protocol) address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times, and referring website addresses. Some parts of the Kaplan IT Learning website use cookies to facilitate your use of the website and to track general traffic. We use your anonymous data to obtain general statistics regarding the use of the Transcender Site and its specific website pages, and to evaluate how our visitors use and navigate our website on an aggregate basis. We do not link your anonymous data with your personal data.

We share your information only with service providers who help us to run our website or to fulfill your requests. These service providers are restricted from using your data in any way other than for the service they are providing. Registered User Websites - User names and Passwords

If you have registered for one of our Registered User Websites (Client, Agent, or Partner), we will assign you a user name and password to enable your access of such websites. By accessing and using the Registered User Websites, you agree to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password, and not to disclose it to any other person. Make sure you review the Terms of Use for your Registered User Site, because by using the Site you agree to abide by its conditions.

Transfer to the United States

If you are located outside of the United States, please note that the personal data you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. Whenever you submit any personal data to us, you consent to this transfer.

Your Ability To Choose

You can let us know that you do not want to receive any further information from us by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mails we send you. If you have any difficulty in opting out, please let us know in an e-mail to: stt@kaplan.com. Please put the words "opt-out" in the subject line and provide details on the problem you have encountered.

Please note that opting out does not apply to e-mail that we send you to;
  1. confirm your ability to use the down-loaded or online products you have requested; or
  2. provide product updates, corrections or enhancements.

We use cookies to allow you to move quickly through our site, to allow you to take advantage of some of the Kaplan IT Learning Site's special features, and to collect information about your use of the Kaplan IT Learning website.
